A Cuppa.

So I've already told you that I like yummy food.  I cannot imagine going through life without tantalizing my tastebuds!  I realize that one becomes conditioned over time to healthier choices, but I'm not there yet, this time.

Do you love coffee?  The coffee shop kind?  HillbillyHousewife has a recipe for Mocha Espresso Coffee Mix that weighs in at around 85 calories a serving!  So I must admit that I don't feel so guilty partaking every so often anymore.

Did you know that fast food coffee drinks are made with shake mix?  No wonder they tasted so good...

Pushin' through the pain!

  2. Hi! I am so crazy particular about my coffee that there are only a couple of fancy coffee house drinks I ever get and the taste varies each time I get it so I am not nearly as tempted to spend the money when there's that very real chance it's going to disappoint me. I guess I can consider myself lucky there. However there are so many other things that tempt me!

  3. I can't live without my coffee in the morning, but using a sugar substitute and a small dollop of flavored creamer cut the calories and allow me that small indulgence.
Don't try to make too many changes at one time. It will become overwhelming trying to keep up. Small changes over time and you can stay the course. I'm rootin' for you, lady!

  5. Thanks for dropping by my blog Pauline! I know what you're going through, I've been where you're at. You have to approach it one day at a time. Changing your lifestyle is key, once you do that the pounds will come off, with exercise of course lol! Good luck to you!

PS- Being from Seattle makes giving up coffee darn near impossible! Luckily I was able to go cold turkey because it started giving me heartburn. I do enjoy my white chocolate mocha every once in awhile :-)

  8. It definitely takes time to adjust to food changes. I know I'm going to have some to do after pregnancy and all the sugar I always craved...and ate. LOL

  10. Don't think you have to give up the yummies completely in order to lose weight. Just limit them or create healthier versions of them.

(i.e. For a chocolate pudding substitute, mix a vanilla fat-free yogurt with some sweetener and a packet of Skinny Cow hot chocolate mix.)
