W.I.D.T.H.

So there's a blogger named Jack who has a fabulous sense of humor and this really inspiring page called W.I.D.T.H. (Why I Do This Here).  You must go visit, because you will be inspired and linked to some really wonderful blogs!  Anyway, here's my entry which I will explain.  I must have a really odd way of looking at things!  LOL!

In my experience, spending time doing nothing leads to (almost chronic) aches, pains, and fatigue.  As I shared previously, adding even a small amount of exercise makes you feel taller and more limber and healthy very quickly!  And I love that.  It seems once you begin a habit of doing nothing, it lends to more doing nothing because of how bad you feel, but if you just make yourself move that 1 time a momentum of change begins.  :)

Pushin' through the pain!

  1. So true. I hated moving and the gym was equivalent as a trip to the ob/gyn but once I am there and moving I feel so much better. Now I don't resist going so and I even like it>

  2. I completely understand that - one of my first NSVs (and still one of my favorites) was when I no longer had backaches all the time. I was always aching, and "inactive" pain is totally different from the feeling post-workout where you're a little tired and maybe a little achy but in a I-just-pushed-myself-to-my-limits-go-me! sort of way.

  3. You are so right!! Is it a coincidence that I got off an additional pound in the week where I exercise 2 more times than usual? Perhaps not... keep active!

  4. This is so true. It is hard to get moving once you sedentary but it helps so much overall.

The food we eat also effects how we feel & how energized or sluggish we are.. it all fits together! :-)

  6. It's so true. When I do nothing, I want to do even less. I get lethargic and really, really cranky. I've noticed that about myself if I spend too much time on the computer...I start getting cranky if anyone interrupts me.

  7. What I love is that eating healthy makes me want to get active, and getting active makes me want to eat healthy. If I'm sitting on the couch watching TV, I want to eat cookies and potato chips. But when I get back from a run, I usually prefer fruits or something.

    I love it!

  8. How very true. The act of doing something can sure clear up all that lethargic feeling we got when we do nothing. :)
