Thank you, LORD, for a brighter day!

Today I realized that I want to continue the journey, and that if suddenly I don't want to do S90, I don't have to! As long as I keep moving.  And isn't it funny?  The moment I gave myself the permission to continue to make it fun and enjoy the journey, I wanted to do today's workout.  LOL!

So I have another Robin Hood quote for you today from Ch.11, "Robin Hood and Allan A Dale".  This has nothing at all to do with fitness!  Robin says to the heartbroken young man of 21, "Now lad...tell us your troubles, and speak freely.  A flow of words doth ever ease the heart of sorrows; it is like opening the waste weir when the mill dam is overfull.  Come, sit thou here beside me, and speak at thine ease."

I so enjoyed this, because this Robin Hood gang was very, well, yang.  These were real men.  Rustic, rugged, rough, and tough men.  I'm sorry, but I like a manly man!  I guess there is merit in talking about our issues (with a trusted friend who will not lead us astray and will encourage us to uphold good character), huh?  This is not the vision we usually think of when picturing manly men, but I liked it.  :)

Pushin' through the pain!

  2. I hear ya! I tend to do something different each day to break up the monotony. I admire people who just go to the gym every day...I guess they can shake it up in there, but man...that would drive me nuts! I{heart}DVDs! I just got 30 Day Shred and haven't had the guts to try it yet, though I hear it's fun. I need to get a small set of dumbells.

Anywho - I'm so glad to know you...and to know I'm not the only one with our struggles!

  3. Anytime I find myself not wanting to workout I change up my routine COMPLETELY. I know my hubby doesn't understand why I have SO MANY workout DVDs, but this is why. I need to be able to keep on moving without getting burned out or bored.
